This is not a conventional product management position centered on user feedback cycles or iterative feature rollouts. This is an executive-level technical product ownership role where you will own the architecture, technical direction, and AI integration across our complete learning ecosystem. **What You Will Be Doing**

- Building and maintaining deep expertise in education products to inform strategic direction
- Creating technical specifications that define critical technical decisions and emphasize simplicity, efficiency, and sustainable scalability
- Deploying generative AI technologies to automate and optimize engineering workflows, supporting the strategic objective of minimizing manual effort

**What You Won’t Be Doing**

- Pure people management; this position relies heavily on your technical and business expertise
- Spending time in meetings, committees, and administrative activities; we have streamlined management overhead to allow you to concentrate on delivering business value through direct, hands-on contributions
- High-level strategies lacking implementation detail; your guidance must be grounded in product-level understanding

**Lead Product Architect Key Responsibilities**

- Serve as the CTO of one or more education products, owning critical competencies and generating business value through flawless execution and strategic leadership

**Basic Requirements**

- Deep experience or interest in data-driven learning science
- 7+ years of experience making the important architecture and design decisions on software projects, such as the application of architecture design patterns or significant open source technologies
- 2+ years of experience making design decisions involving the use of cloud computing services (primarily AWS)
- 4+ years of experience in positions with full technical and delivery ownership on a revenue-generating product
- Experience building product features that make advanced use of Generative AI
- Experience using Generative AI to simplify work processes

**Working with us**
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
