**Core Responsibilities & Daily Duties:**
**1. Planning & Strategy:**
- Develop production schedules and workflows to meet output targets.
- Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) like efficiency, yield, and output.
- Plan for equipment maintenance and upgrades (often working with Maintenance Managers).
- Contribute to long-term capacity and process improvement planning.
**2. Resource & People Management:**
- Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of shift supervisors, line leaders, and production staff.
- Handle staffing: scheduling, training, performance reviews, and sometimes hiring.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement on the shop floor.
- Resolve personnel issues and ensure compliance with labor regulations.
**3. Process & Quality Control:**
- Implement and enforce strict quality control standards throughout production.
- Troubleshoot production bottlenecks and process issues in real-time.
- Work with Quality Assurance (QA) and Engineering teams to root-cause defects and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., ISO standards, FDA, OSHA).
**4. Cost & Inventory Management:**
- Manage the production budget and control costs (labor, materials, overhead).
- Minimize waste (e.g., scrap, rework) and optimize material usage.
- Coordinate with procurement and inventory control to ensure raw material availability without overstocking.
**5. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):**
- **Primary responsibility for a safe working environment.**
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed and that the facility adheres to environmental regulations.
- Lead incident investigations and promote a proactive safety culture.
Job Types: 100%, Part-time
Pay: CHF85’000.00 - CHF110’000.00 per year
