**Job Description**
The key responsibilities include the design, execution and maintenance of critical data pipelines supporting a myriad of data-related use cases. A senior data engineer is encouraged to take ownership of the pipelines, to proactively look for ways to monitor the system and improve the quality of the data. This position is with the Decision Science & Solutions (DSS) team where the scope of use cases will be largely related to the commercial aerospace business. The candidate is expected to collaborate closely with other team members within DSS, which is a multi-disciplinary team consisting of data scientists, analysts and software engineers.


**Requirements**

- Flexibility and adaptability to employ appropriate tools to solve the problem at hand
- Willingness to adopt a customer-centric solutioning approach to understand customer pain points and identify key problems to be solved
- Proficient in data pipeline orchestration tools like Airflow, AWS Step Functions etc.
- Proficient in RDBMS solutions like MSSQL and Postgres
- Proficient in scripting languages like Python
- Basic knowledge of common BI tools like Tableau
- Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux OS for executing common tasks
- Basic knowledge on computer networks
- Willingness to learn how to deploy production grade data pipelines
- Experience with AWS tech stack will be advantageous
