**Key Responsibilities**

- Build and enhance Java 17 core services with focus on performance, reliability, and multithreading for capital markets trading
- Design and implement new features and integrations including FX Options pricing, market data feeds, and pricing engines
- Refactor and optimise existing software while leading modernisation from legacy C++/Qt systems to Spring Boot microservices
- Provide third-line application support with on-call rotation for rapid resolution of live trading incidents
- Collaborate directly with traders, quants, and sales teams to gather requirements, deliver solutions, and support user training

**Skills**

- 5+ years hands-on Java development including 2+ years Java 11 or later, with deep proficiency in Spring Framework (JMS, JPA, Hibernate, JDBC, Oracle DB)
- Proven financial domain expertise in FX Options and FX Rates plus strong understanding of Core Banking, Trading Platforms, Market Data feeds, and Pricing Engine interdependencies
- Production experience with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Octopus), and messaging middleware (IBM MQ, ActiveMQ, JSON, Apache Thrift)
- 5+ years developing mission-critical capital markets systems with real-time market data processing and front-office delivery
- Experience in Agile/SAFe environments using Jira and Confluence, test-driven development (JUnit, Mockito), and observability solutions (Grafana)
- **Language Skills:**
Fluency in English is required; good written and spoken German skills are desirable
