**About the Role**

We are seeking a Video Editor Team Leader with strong visual storytelling experience to join our team as a volunteer. You’ll play a key role in guiding our video production efforts, ensuring high-quality, engaging visual content that promotes our mission. You will lead a team of volunteer video editors, collaborate with designers, content creators, and marketing specialists to bring our visual language to life, and work alongside.

**Responsibilities**

- Lead, mentor, and produce content witha team of volunteer video editors, providing guidance, feedback, and support
- Oversee the entire video production lifecycle, from conceptualization and storyboarding to editing, motion graphics, and final delivery.
- Develop and maintain brand guidelines for all video content, ensuring consistency and alignment with KomunIKON's visual identity.
- Manage video project timelines and deliverables, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion.
- Edit and assemble compelling video content for various platforms (social media, website, presentations, etc.), utilizing a range of editing techniques
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand video needs and translate them into engaging visual narratives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve video-related issues as they arise, from technical challenges to creative roadblocks.

**About You**

Beyond motivation and independence, we value your ability to deliver visually appealing, impactful solutions. An understanding of industry standards and best practices (video editing workflows, content optimization for different platforms, collaborative tools, etc.) is expected.

**Qualifications**

- Bachelor's degree in Film, Media Production, Graphic Design, or equivalent practical experience.
- A few years of experience in video editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
- Proven experience in a team lead or supervisory role within a creative or production environment is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and motion graphics tools (e.g., Adobe After Effects).
- Solid understanding of video formats, codecs, aspect ratios, and optimization for web and social media.
- Experience with color grading, audio mixing, and visual effects.
- Excellent storytelling abilities and a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback.
