**Core Role**

A waiter or waitress is the primary point of contact between a restaurant's guests and the kitchen. They are responsible for guiding the dining experience, ensuring customer satisfaction, and facilitating smooth service. They are often seen as the "face" of the establishment.

**Key Responsibilities**

The job extends far beyond just taking orders and delivering food. Key duties include:

**1. Guest Service & Interaction:**

- Greeting guests warmly and seating them if no host is present.
- Presenting menus, explaining specials, and answering questions about ingredients, preparation, and pairing.
- Taking accurate food and drink orders and entering them into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Checking on guests throughout the meal to ensure satisfaction, refilling drinks, and addressing any concerns.
- Providing a genuine, friendly, and professional demeanor to create a positive atmosphere.

**2. Order Execution & Delivery:**

- Communicating orders clearly to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Coordinating with food runners or expeditors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of meals.
- Serving food and beverages, ensuring each guest receives the correct order.
- Clearing plates, glassware, and utensils at appropriate times.

**3. Operational & Side Work:**

- Setting and resetting tables efficiently between guests.
- Maintaining a clean and organized section (wiping surfaces, cleaning spills, arranging condiments).
- Processing payments (cash, credit, gift cards) and returning correct change.
- Performing opening and closing duties (e.g., stocking service stations, folding napkins, brewing coffee, cleaning).

**4. Teamwork & Communication:**

- Collaborating closely with hosts/hostesses, bussers, bartenders, and kitchen staff.
- Relaying guest feedback, both positive and negative, to management.
- Assisting teammates during busy periods.

Job Types: 100%, Part-time

Pay: CHF60’000.00 - CHF70’000.00 per year
